Egypt Urges End to Sudan Bloodshed as Peace Talks Resume in Cairo

Egypt urges end to Sudan As the war in Sudan reaches its 1,000th day, Egypt's foreign minister has reiterated his country's commitment to preserving Sudan's unity and territorial integrity. In a statement, he stressed the gravity of the current situation and its serious repercussions for regional peace and security.

Egypt's Commitment to Sudan's Unity
Egypt's foreign minister emphasized his country's dedication to safeguarding Sudan's institutions through a political process. He called for a humanitarian truce, a ceasefire, and a peaceful resolution to the conflict. This commitment is in line with Egypt's long-standing efforts to promote stability and security in the region.

US Support for Ending the War
Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi discussed the situation in Sudan with US Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos. Sisi expressed his appreciation for the US President's keenness to ending the war in Sudan, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in resolving the crisis.

The Humanitarian Crisis
According to the United Nations, the war in Sudan remains the world's worst ongoing humanitarian crisis. The conflict has left thousands dead and millions displaced, with widespread destruction of infrastructure and economic devastation. Egypt's efforts to promote peace and stability are crucial in addressing this crisis.

As the situation in Sudan continues to deteriorate, Egypt's commitment to preserving Sudan's unity and territorial integrity is more important than ever. The international community must come together to support Egypt's efforts and work towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Only through collective action can we hope to bring an end to this devastating war and restore peace to the people of Sudan.
